Voices from the Field with Jonathan Vander Els: Ace Parsi

In our first national Voice From the Field podcast, we are joined by Ace Parsi, Director of Innovation for the National Center for Learning Disabilities out of Washington, DC.

Ace shares some of the focal points nationally related to remote learning and students with disabilities, including ensuring students with disabilities are not scapegoated for difficulties in distance learning, protecting the Civil Rights of all learners, and how to most effectively meet the needs of unique learners in online instruction.

Mr. Parsi also discusses the efforts in place to provide consistent and timely guidance to educators for properly supporting students with IEPs, including valuable resources that NCLD is developing to provide support and guidance to educators and families. Ace wraps up with suggestions as to how teams in schools can most effectively deliver online instruction, highlighting communication and effective pedagogy.
